Spray Tech Systems and PROEM Solutions have merged to form Spray Tech Industrial Solutions, Inc.

Since 2016, PROEM has been providing process and finishing related services to industry partners and customers in the United States. Many customers valued PROEM for their ability to find solutions that were independent of brand preference. Jeff Behymer of PROEM (Managing Partner) said, “We are excited for the opportunities and expanded capabilities this merger brings to our industry partners.”

Spray Tech Industrial Solutions, Inc. provides solutions for powder coating and liquid coating applications. Spray Tech Industrial Solutions, Inc. provides a variety of equipment for powder coating or liquid coating. Batch ovens, powder coating guns, plural component mixing systems, and fluid handling systems are some of the industrial equipment supplied by Spray Tech Industrial Solutions, Inc. Now, with the addition of PROEM’s staff, Spray Tech Industrial Solutions, Inc. also provides services: paint or powder coating application training, process development and implementation, factory installation and startup of paint application equipment, paint line or powder line assessment and process flow improvement, and preventative maintenance and training. When a Customer Needs You to Go the Extra Mile...

One day you're just a supplier. Then one day you become a partner in a joint venture WITH your customer. Well that's just #adayinthelife at Spray Tech Systems, Inc.

We find that we are successful as a company when we operate as a team. We use this same approach with our customers. Besides, we are relentless paint system and powder coating solution providers.

Take this automated paint system customer for instance. They were looking to increase their throughput by increasing the speed of their conveyor line. Their current FPM (or feet per minute) was 7FPM. They were looking to increase the paint line speed to 9FPM.

With any change to an engineered system, there is typically a ripple effect. They are currently only applying a light wet film build with their primer coating because the window for the part to cure was already short. If they speed up the line or increased the wet film build, then the parts would not cure prior to reaching the top coat booths. Increasing the line speed took what was barely making it to now with a light wet film build and turned it into a real problem or potential failure.

We have a few solutions lined up for this customer, but first we needed to test out our theories...

The first theory was adding forced air with heat to the flash tunnel would allow them to increase the paint line speed and be able to paint a top coat on parts that were dry to handle (DTH). Of course, some modification to the layout may be needed to make this work.

The second theory was they could increase the wet film thickness of the primer and the forced air with heat would still allow the part to cure in time to apply the top coat.

The results are in and are VERY interesting!

More Space to Better Serve Our Customers, Including Training!

Spray Tech has always been customer focused. In an effort to better serve our customers, we recently moved to a new office with a larger warehouse space. We longed for a more updated space with additional capacity for pre-assembly of large projects, stocking customer inventory (including bulky filters for liquid coating and powder coating equipment), our test lab and TRAINING.

One of the two best parts of the move was the increased capacity for pre-assembly of liquid and powder coating equipment for large installations. This allows us to maximize our time onsite by pretesting many of the components going in the field. The other best part of the move is the training space. In our training room, we can now host groups with up to twelve individuals with a mixture of classroom education and hands-on application spraying or troubleshooting.

Spray Tech Systems, Inc. was established in 1981 as a local supplier of industrial spray painting equipment. Over the years we expanded our product offering to include many of the top name brands in the industry.
